Dr. Ying (Margie) Tang is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. She is currently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Association of Chinese American Physicians.
Dr. Tang was born in China. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Nanjing University. After graduation, she came to the United States and studied Neurobiology at University of Maryland. She earned a master's degree and decided to continue clinical training in the states. She completed her internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark. She then received her training in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Dr. Tang practices all aspects of general gastroenterology and Liver disease. In addition to GERD, screening and surveillance of gastrointestinal cancer, she has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, functional gastrointestinal disorder, motility disorder, minimal invasive endoscopic bariatric procedures and hemorrhoid therapy. She skillfully performs upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, capsule endoscopy and motility study. Dr. Tang was active in clinical research and published multiple peer-reviewed articles.
