Twinrix Vaccine Information

Twinrix is a vaccine that combines the Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines. You need three Twinrix vaccinations to complete the series. This reduces the number of shots needed to complete both the Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccination series from five shots, if given separately, to only three.

Hepatitis A

Areas of high risk for Hepatitis A include parts of Africa, Mexico, the Middle East, Central and South America, Asia, and the Caribbean. The Hepatitis A virus is also present in areas around the Mediterranean Sea and Eastern Europe. The CDC provides up to date information by country of destination.
